Melbourne-based Indian man awarded Honorary Doctorate in Yoga


MELBOURNE, 18 MARCH. Melbourne-based Yoga Guru, Lenish John was awarded the honorary doctorate by International Peace University, Germany, in recognition of his outstanding service in the fields of Yoga, holistic healing and social service.

The award was presented to Lenish John by Dr. Bjoern Seibert, Global Accredition Council, Germany and Dr. Daniela Nora Brillinger, Course Director, IPU, Germany.

18 years ago in Kerala, India, Lenish John met his Guru, acclaimed international Yogacharya Sri Jose Jacob who guided and led him to discover his spiritual self through regular and intensive Yoga known as Atharvanic kriya. Lenish
John mastered this unique esoteric practice and has since successfully applied his Guru's unique healing method to the Australian public.

The Australian Immigration Department has also recognised this specialised knowledge in Vedic science and yogic healing and has granted Lenish John with citizenship. He has won several other awards and accreditation including Adi shankaracharya Yoga Ratna 2019, East Asia Excellence Yogacharya Award 2017, Vietnam and ONV Smaraka Sevanasreshta award for his selfless contribution with an aim to help hundreds of people through his authentic and holistic healing techniques.
