Australian residents can now instantly send gold abroad for payments or gifts

SYDNEY, 14 MAY. The CEO of SendGold, Jodi Stanton, today announced that the digital gold money platform company has gone live in Android and iTunes app stores in China, India, Indonesia, The Philippines, Hong Kong, Singapore, Vietnam, and New Zealand, enabling Australian residents to send payments or gifts of gold to their family and friends in these countries for the first time ever.

“SendGold is the only Australian company offering people in Australia the ability to send, or ‘gift’ gold to their family and friends living overseas,” Ms. Stanton said.

“Now, if you want to send gift for a wedding, a birthday, or Chinese New Year, SendGold lets you instantly transfer 100% legal title gold that the recipient can cash out in their local currency—or hold as an investment, becoming a gift that keeps on giving. SendGold users own 100% legal title to gold held in Australian vaults, that is insured by Lloyd’s of London. The service is fullycompliant with Australian law, and is integrated with the global banking system, with redemption options in 140 currencies in 160 countries."-

Ms. Stanton said that SendGold is mobile-only, requires nopaperwork, and can be set up within minutes. “It's simple: you register and buy gold in a few minutes. Gold is legal to own everywhere in the world, and with SendGold, all the user requires is a mobile number or email address and they can send payments in gold – no friction, no barriers, low fees. Ultimately, SendGold is providing a safe investment option for people living in countries that have unstable economic conditions, and we think this will resonate particularly well in Australia, which has a large migrant population with family living overseas.”
